IBA (Ionian Boat Assistance) was founded in 2005 by Kelvin Morris who has had many years of experience in yachting management and engineering.
He was managing the development of a large yacht charter company responsible for yacht purchases, yacht maintenance and the general management. He saw the need for a more personal approach.

Experienced
Kelvin is an experienced professional engineer and ocean sailor with full factory training from the 1990’s to the present day in many manufacturers including Yanmar , ZF, Victron Energy, Master Volt and many more keeping up with all technology changes.
Organized
Kelvin Morris recognized the need for an organization to cater for people buying and selling boats, many of whom were based far away and needed a personal and professional service that they could rely on. He was also aware that people sail the Ionian for pleasure, often with a limited budget, young families, inexperienced crews and a lack of spares or facilities to cope with a breakdown situation.

So IBA was established as a legitimate Greek registered LTD company, to address these needs. The formula and philosophy led to rapid expansion and IBAs high powered ribs and service vans quickly became a familiar and reassuring feature of the Ionian experience to their ever growing client base.
